All About Race: Protest the NAACP

Thanks for the support. This is ridiculous! Their silence in the matter is even more ridiculous. The Palm Beach Post reporter who was at the press conference is saying the NAACP president was handing out fliers in support of the suspects.

It amazes me that the NAACP is going to allow the West Palm Beach chapter to have this type of negative impact on its image and brand. I remain hopeful that NAACP will realize their mistake and take steps to fix it. However, for many of us ... it may be too little, too late...

"I have canceled my NAACP membership."

What took you so long Carm?

On the real, I tend to think that rape victims are often full of s*** and to be critical of them is unfairly labeled an unforgivable sin. But when legitimate cases of rape (like Dunbar, a story which -- to date -- has gone uncontested by anybody) can get dismissed by those ostensibly committed to racial and social justice, it is UNCONSCIONABLE!

Initially, I was outraged when the clowns over at the NAACP chose to shy away from this story because it allegedly was not congruent with their "mission." But then it dawned on me: since people like ghetto ass Monique and child molestors like R. Kelly are the "image" bearers, anything promoting and defending the "advancement of colored people" would fall outside of the their mission.

    NAACP is the new BET.

Dre, I almost canceled when Julian Bond started playing Clinton mouthpiece. But this was the last straw.
