The thing that bugs me so much right now is that we have republicans voting for Clinton in the primarys because they think she will be easier for MaCain to beat than Obama. That's such a cheezy move. I'm, just thrilled Obama cleaned up here in Wisconsin. I can't remember ever feeling that happy to go vote, like I was really making a diffence, like I did last Tuesday. :)

Hey Moondancer Drake, welcome to the conversation. That is the hard part for me. Clinton seems to think voters are stupid or that we aren't watching. When I saw the headline I laughed out loud. I couldn't believe she would make such a cynical staff change at this point in the campaign. But, Moondancer Drake, don't count the Clintons out. I am bracing for what's next.

Thanks for the compliment on my quote. To answer your question...no, I don't blog, at least not yet. But if Hillary wins unfairly--with backroom crooked superdelegates--I will be blogging with fire and venom. Until then, I am quite content commenting on great blogs such as yours.

Oh course she is. Her NOW supporters attempt at making her the victim the boys on the playground were picking on didn't work to woo the sympathy of many WoC (in fact I know many white feminists that were appalled at this tactic)so now she is putting the "token" up front and center where all can see. If I didn't already distrust about everything that slithers out of Ms Clinton’s mouth, this little ploy would synch it. Shame on you, Hilary, for thinking the rest of us women are that stupid.

Nezua, that's the thing with Clinton. Even when she's trying to appear fluid, she is so rigid, guarded, calculating. I am not advocating that she has to be freewheeling or impulsive, but I have not seen much evidence of humanity. Even when she tears up...it's all calculation, all about "how's this gonna play." I had high hopes for Hillary at an early point. I believe she is very intelligent and has numerous gifts that could in fact serve any constiuency well. But, I am disappointed in WHO she has revealed herself to be. Those gifts without a soul/conscious to guide them are unimportant to me.

Obama needs to win the most delegates and be very strong heading into that convention. I love your quote:“I’m a person who has seen many events during my lifetime…most of which never happened.”

Hi Carmen D,
I'm not sure about your IF. In this instance, it seems like a pretty big word to me but I hope you are right. From my understanding of this article, superdelegates DON'T have to vote according to the WILL of the people NO MATTER how many delegates they have.

The more I think about these free-wheeling-anything-goes-superdelegates, the more I don't like the way the Democratic Party operates when it comes to selecting a nominee in a very tight race. Bottomline, it has the potential to not only rip the party apart, but the country as well. I DO feel the Democratic Party is capable of selecting the wrong candidate even when the people have chosen otherwise--esp. with the Clintons involved.

In any case, if Obama doesn't win, I won't be voting for Hillary....After what she and Bill did in South Carolina my heart and mind won't allow it.

I hope, however, that Obama WILL WIN; and my 'worrying' will have been for nothing. Some philospher once said, "I'm a person who has seen many events during my lifetime...most of which never happened." More than ever, I hope my worrying and mistrust of those superdelegates ends up being a total waste of time. Go Obama!

Hey Andre and n-2-me-i-c, I have another twist for you both. I think there is NO way the superdelegates will be able to walk into that convention and hand the nomination to Clinton IF ... now that's IF... Obama actually wins more delegates. Think about it, 80% of the black vote in this country disregarded by political insiders stacked with Clinton supporters...no way. Such a decision would tear the Democratic party apart! What if Ms. Williams is cover for just such a scenario. She would present a much different face for the Clinton campaign in the event this comes down to a back room brawl for the Supers. Wow. Democracy is fun.

Trust me Carm, you're NOT making any hyperbolic claims. Hill is definitely trying to make ammends for the Civil Rights comment; while trying to somehow derail Obama's popularity with black folk. She can no longer rest on the laurels of being the spouse of "the first black president" (I still feel the urge to dropkick Toni Morrison every now and again for that label). She has to actually WORK for the black vote which hasn't been very successful at this point. I mean, when a sista has Bob Johnson speaking for her, you know your campaign is shot to hell.

Still, I can't help to echo n2 me ic's sentiments: when you've got a boatload of superdelegates in your back pocket, the hell to what the average citizen thinks. Scary thought...

I agree with you--Hillary is trying to woo Blacks. IMO, it's much too late to try to change the minds of African-Americans who have turned away from--and against--Hillary. Her tactics will only boost Obama's momentum. I hope he runs right over her and her newly appointed Black campaign manager on Tuesday. Go Obama!

However, those Superdelegates lurking in the shadows, are beginning to worry me.
